During summer months, Young Disciples at First Christian Church participate in summer camp and Vacation Bible School.

At Logos Camp (www.cciwdisciples.org), children entering grades 3-12 meet with other Disciples kids from throughout the region for a week of fun and faith-building.

For Vacation Bible School, First Christian teams up with our neighbor First Presbyterian Church of Carbondale to present "Marketplace Vacation Bible School", which takes children into the ancient worlds in which Biblical narratives occurred. Bible stories come alive as children “visit” the locations of our stories such as ancient Greece, Rome, Egypt and Israel. Food, crafts and games in the marketplace relate to each year's themes. Each summer, a different Biblical location is explored as live costumed characters teach children about their walk with God as described in the Bible and the culture in which they lived.
